Logan went to Washington D.C. for a school trip. They had a ball!

He was very impressed by the
monuments especially Arlington
Cemetery
They were there over Memorial Day and I know it made a big impression on military service and sacrifice. He knows my Dad spent 20 years in the Air Force and My Uncle Rick served 2 tours in Vietnam. He told me the Wall memorial was a sacred place and it bothered him that some of the other groups were not as
reverent as he thought they should be, what a great kid!!

Logan and FDR

He told me he needed at least another week to see all he wanted to see. He went with a group called Close up and they had kids from about 5 other states in their group too.
What a great
experience for him!!

What a cool kid you have! We were just at the Vietnam Memorial last weekend. It is clearly evident which kids are taking in the magnitude of the event (as best as kids can) as opposed to those who are just there to socialize with friends.
Logan is exactly right about the reverence part. And, I can promise that those who were visiting the wall to honor their loved ones appreciated his reverence and respect.
I've never been to DC, and I REALLY want to go someday, sooner than later.
I'm glad your son felt such respect for those who have died for our country. We need a little more respect in the world!
I was at the Arlington Cemetery on Memorial Day! Too bad I didn't see Logan, that would have been a nice surprise. Sounds like he had a ton of fun, hope you all are doing well!
Hooray for you! Got the button on your first try, I am impressed. Nice work!!
Thank you so much for donating.
I really didn't want to pressure anyone, but this just touched my heart so much. Thank you!!!
